What we do
Welcome to Recovering from Trauma
The website, called “Recovering from Trauma,” is a comprehensive online resource designed to provide education and support to individuals who have experienced trauma, as well as their loved ones and caregivers. The site is built around the belief that trauma is a common and often misunderstood experience, and that recovery is possible with the right tools and resources.
We are glad you are here
The page features educational resources, recovery tools, and community support. The site is organized into several main sections, each focused on a specific aspect of trauma and recovery.
“Understanding Trauma,” provides an overview of what trauma is, the different types of trauma, and the symptoms that may arise from traumatic experiences. This section also includes information on the neurobiology of trauma and how it affects the body and mind.
“Recognizing Trauma,” offers guidance on how to recognize trauma in oneself and in others. This includes information on common triggers, coping mechanisms, and the importance of seeking professional help when necessary.
“Living in Recovery,” provides a range of resources and tools to help individuals on their journey to healing and recovery. This includes self-help strategies, such as mindfulness and meditation practices, as well as information on therapy and other professional treatment options.
Finally, the blog features stories of people who have experienced trauma, recognized how it impacted them and began their journey of recovery.
